In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Facade by Ed Paschke. The »bidding war« ended at USD 27,720.00 (€ 23,800.12), 26% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ed Paschke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bag Boots in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 245,000.00 (€ 179,618.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Facade von Ed Paschke zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 27.720,00 (€ 23.800,12) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ed Paschke auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bag Boots im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 245.000,00 (€ 179.618,77).
