Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Tropical Night by Ed Paschke was sold in the Post-War to Present auction at Christies in New York in September last year. It achieved a price of USD 69,300.00 (€ 70,837.17), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ed Paschke - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bag Boots, which sold at auction in May 2014 for USD 245,000.00 (€ 179,618.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Tropical Night von Ed Paschke wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War to Present bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 69.300,00 (€ 70.837,17) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Für andere Arbeiten von Ed Paschke mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bag Boots beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für USD 245.000,00 (€ 179.618,77) versteigert wurde.
