Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ed Moses achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November this year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work without title sold for USD 56,700.00 (€ 51,980.20) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ed Moses; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Lift, 1991 sold at auction in May 2019 with the realized price of USD 60,075.00 (€ 53,883.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ed Moses erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 56.700,00 (€ 51.980,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ed Moses; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Lift, 1991 im Mai 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 60.075,00 (€ 53.883,76).
