Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April this year Bonhams held the auction Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (LAL110), 1985 by Ed Moses. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 20,400.00 (€ 18,478.26). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ed Moses - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lift, 1991, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 60,075.00 (€ 53,883.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (LAL110), 1985 von Ed Moses zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 20.400,00 (€ 18.478,26) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ed Moses mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lift, 1991 beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für USD 60.075,00 (€ 53.883,76) versteigert wurde.
