Auction result well in line with expectations
The work E by Ed Moses was auctioned at Phillips in 7 - in December this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,890.00 (€ 8,036.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ed Moses have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lift, 1991 in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 60,075.00 (€ 53,883.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit E von Ed Moses kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Phillips in 7 - zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.890,00 (€ 8.036,52) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ed Moses auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lift, 1991 im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.075,00 (€ 53.883,76).
