Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2020 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Surfer by Duane Hanson. The price achieved of GBP 250,000.00 (€ 289,750.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Other works by Duane Hanson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May last year the work Cowboy was auctioned for USD 428,400.00 (€ 399,217.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2020 führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Surfer von Duane Hanson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 250.000,00 (€ 289.750,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Duane Hanson konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai letzten Jahres die Arbeit Cowboy für USD 428.400,00 (€ 399.217,22) versteigert.
