Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jogger by Duane Hanson was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 224,750.00 (€ 255,890.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Duane Hanson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May last year the work Cowboy was auctioned for USD 428,400.00 (€ 399,217.22).

Die Arbeit Jogger von Duane Hanson kam im März 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 224.750,00 (€ 255.890,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Duane Hanson konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai letzten Jahres die Arbeit Cowboy für USD 428.400,00 (€ 399.217,22) versteigert.
