Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flea Market Lady by Duane Hanson was sold in the 20th C. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session auction at Phillips in New York in November 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 275,000.00 (€ 249,568.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Duane Hanson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May last year the work Cowboy was auctioned for USD 428,400.00 (€ 399,217.22).
