Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Dexter Dalwood achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2015. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Lord Lucan sold for GBP 50,000.00 (€ 70,883.21) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dexter Dalwood - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Brian Jones' Swimming Pool, which sold at auction in February 2007 for GBP 144,000.00 (€ 213,474.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dexter Dalwood erzielte im Juli 2015 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Lord Lucan für GBP 50.000,00 (€ 70.883,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dexter Dalwood mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Brian Jones' Swimming Pool beobachtet, die im Februar 2007 für GBP 144.000,00 (€ 213.474,83) versteigert wurde.
