Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War to Present, which included the work Patty Hearst'S Apartment by Dexter Dalwood. The price achieved of USD 37,500.00 (€ 31,933.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Dexter Dalwood have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Brian Jones' Swimming Pool in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 144,000.00 (€ 213,474.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War to Present durch, in der auch die Arbeit Patty Hearst'S Apartment von Dexter Dalwood zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 31.933,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dexter Dalwood auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Brian Jones' Swimming Pool im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 144.000,00 (€ 213.474,83).
