Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2015 Phillips in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work A Conversation Piece (Black & White) by Dean Levin. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,506.82) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dean Levin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work White Lines (Diptych), which sold at auction in February 2015 for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 25,853.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2015 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Conversation Piece (Black & White) von Dean Levin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.506,82) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dean Levin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit White Lines (Diptych) beobachtet, die im Februar 2015 für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 25.853,47) versteigert wurde.
