Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Untitled (Act Up Diptych) by David Wojnarowicz was sold in the Editions & Works on Paper auction at Phillips in New York in April last year. The price achieved of USD 7,560.00 (€ 7,174.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Wojnarowicz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Earth, Wind, Fire And Water in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,515,000.00 (€ 1,337,984.63).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Untitled (Act Up Diptych) von David Wojnarowicz wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 7.560,00 (€ 7.174,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Wojnarowicz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Earth, Wind, Fire And Water im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.515.000,00 (€ 1.337.984,63).
