Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sex Series (For Marion Scemama) by David Wojnarowicz was auctioned at Christies in New York in November last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 176,400.00 (€ 170,880.56) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Wojnarowicz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Earth, Wind, Fire And Water in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,515,000.00 (€ 1,337,984.63).
