Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Seated Figure by David Park. The price achieved of USD 68,750.00 (€ 65,091.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Park achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Louise in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 2,729,000.00 (€ 1,753,856.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seated Figure von David Park zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 65.091,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Park erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Louise im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.729.000,00 (€ 1.753.856,04).
