Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by David Park could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern Day Auction auction, the work Red Figure changed hands for USD 94,500.00 (€ 88,062.62) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Park achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Louise in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 2,729,000.00 (€ 1,753,856.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Park konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern Day Auction wechselte die Arbeit Red Figure für USD 94.500,00 (€ 88.062,62) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Park erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Louise im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.729.000,00 (€ 1.753.856,04).
