Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Couple in a Landscape by David Park was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 685,500.00 (€ 607,335.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Park - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Louise, which sold at auction in May 2008 for USD 2,729,000.00 (€ 1,753,856.04).

Die Arbeit Couple in a Landscape von David Park kam im November 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 685.500,00 (€ 607.335,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von David Park mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Louise beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für USD 2.729.000,00 (€ 1.753.856,04) versteigert wurde.
