Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by David Korty was sold in the Contemporary Curated featuring works from the Collection of Joni Gordon of Newspace Gallery auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2014. It achieved a price of USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,423.98), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Korty - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Santa Monica), which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 34,600.00 (€ 23,556.64).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.423,98) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von David Korty mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Santa Monica) beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 34.600,00 (€ 23.556,64) versteigert wurde.
