Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by David Korty could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints auction, the work Untitled (Mormon Temple) changed hands for USD 2,250.00 (€ 1,985.53) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Korty achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Santa Monica) in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 34,600.00 (€ 23,556.64).
