In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work Lopping: February; Stooking: August, from the Farmer's Year 2 sold for USD 2,880.00 (€ 2,637.36) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Clare Leighton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bread Line, New York in August this year with an auction result of USD 11,970.00 (€ 11,043.45).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Clare Leighton erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wurde die Arbeit Lopping: February; Stooking: August, from the Farmer's Year 2 für USD 2.880,00 (€ 2.637,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Clare Leighton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bread Line, New York im August diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.970,00 (€ 11.043,45).
