Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Clam Diggers by Clare Leighton was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June last year. It achieved a price of USD 956.25 (€ 913.41), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clare Leighton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bread Line, New York in August this year with an auction result of USD 11,970.00 (€ 11,043.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Clam Diggers von Clare Leighton wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 956,25 (€ 913,41) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clare Leighton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bread Line, New York im August diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.970,00 (€ 11.043,45).
