In September 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Part I and Part II, which included the work Film Study by Christopher Brown. The »bidding war« ended at USD 46,000.00 (€ 32,351.08), 53% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Film Study the most expensive artwork by Christopher Brown that we have observed at auctions so far.
