Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Bonhams held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Brady's Negative by Christopher Brown. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,147.50 (€ 1,055.46) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Film Study in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 46,000.00 (€ 32,351.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Brady's Negative von Christopher Brown zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.147,50 (€ 1.055,46) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Brown erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Film Study im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 46.000,00 (€ 32.351,08).
