The work Rain by Christopher Brown was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in January last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,785.00 (€ 1,592.04), 49% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Film Study in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 46,000.00 (€ 32,351.08).

Die Arbeit Rain von Christopher Brown wurde im Januar letzten Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.785,00 (€ 1.592,04) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Brown erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Film Study im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 46.000,00 (€ 32.351,08).
