Auction result well in line with expectations
The work L’Atelier De L’Artiste À La Cité Falguière by Chaïm Soutine was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2020. The price achieved of USD 252,000.00 (€ 210,913.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chaïm Soutine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Bœuf in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 28,165,000.00 (€ 25,618,519.19).
