Auction result well in line with expectations
The work L'âne by Chaïm Soutine was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March last year. The price achieved of GBP 107,100.00 (€ 126,979.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chaïm Soutine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Bœuf in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 28,165,000.00 (€ 25,618,519.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit L'âne von Chaïm Soutine kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 107.100,00 (€ 126.979,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chaïm Soutine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Bœuf im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.165.000,00 (€ 25.618.519,19).
