A top price for Chaïm Soutine - as previously expected
In May 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Looking Forward to the Past, which included the work Le Bœuf by Chaïm Soutine. It changed hands for a price of USD 28,165,000.00 (€ 25,618,519.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000,000.00 – 30,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Le Bœuf is the most expensive artwork by Chaïm Soutine that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Looking Forward to the Past durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Bœuf von Chaïm Soutine zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 28.165.000,00 (€ 25.618.519,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000.000,00 – 30.000.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Le Bœuf das teuerste Kunstwerk von Chaïm Soutine, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
