This work without title by Cecily Brown was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in May this year. It achieved a price of USD 604,800.00 (€ 567,674.11), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 73%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecily Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (The Beautiful and Damned) in May this year with an auction result of USD 6,705,000.00 (€ 6,293,410.93).
