Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape by Cecil Collins was sold in the Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw” auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2017. The price achieved of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,440.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Collins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Greeting in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 70,000.00 (€ 98,699.12).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.440,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden.
