Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work Angel by Cecil Collins for GBP 357.00 (€ 406.86). This price was achieved in the auction Discovery Prints Sale Online at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Collins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Greeting in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 70,000.00 (€ 98,699.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Angel von Cecil Collins für GBP 357,00 (€ 406,86) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Discovery Prints Sale Online bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cecil Collins erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Greeting im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 70.000,00 (€ 98.699,12).
