Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Carl Andre was auctioned at Christies in London in September this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 15,750.00 (€ 14,880.95). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Andre achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Copper-Steel Alloy Square in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 2,411,250.00 (€ 2,796,877.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Carl Andre kam im September diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 15.750,00 (€ 14.880,95) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Andre erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Copper-Steel Alloy Square im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.411.250,00 (€ 2.796.877,07).
