A top price for Carl Andre
In October 2019 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction, which included the work Copper-Steel Alloy Square by Carl Andre. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,411,250.00 (€ 2,796,877.07), 34% above the upper estimate. With this result, Copper-Steel Alloy Square is even the most expensive work of art by Carl Andre that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Oktober 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Copper-Steel Alloy Square von Carl Andre zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.411.250,00 (€ 2.796.877,07) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Copper-Steel Alloy Square sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Carl Andre, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
