Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ode to Motherland No. 6 by Cai Zhisong was sold in the Contemporary Art Part II auction at Phillips in New York in November 2008. The price achieved of USD 52,500.00 (€ 41,358.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cai Zhisong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Custom to Motherland No. 5, which sold at auction in November 2011 for HKD 1,580,000.00 (€ 151,152.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ode to Motherland No. 6 von Cai Zhisong wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 41.358,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Cai Zhisong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Custom to Motherland No. 5 beobachtet, die im November 2011 für HKD 1.580.000,00 (€ 151.152,90) versteigert wurde.
