Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ode to Motherland No.7 by Cai Zhisong was sold in the Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2015. The price achieved of HKD 330,400.00 (€ 38,599.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 280,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cai Zhisong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Custom to Motherland No. 5, which sold at auction in November 2011 for HKD 1,580,000.00 (€ 151,152.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ode to Motherland No.7 von Cai Zhisong wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 330.400,00 (€ 38.599,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 280.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Cai Zhisong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Custom to Motherland No. 5 beobachtet, die im November 2011 für HKD 1.580.000,00 (€ 151.152,90) versteigert wurde.
