Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2012 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Refinement To Motherland No. 3 by Cai Zhisong. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 4,871.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cai Zhisong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Custom to Motherland No. 5 in November 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,580,000.00 (€ 151,152.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2012 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Refinement To Motherland No. 3 von Cai Zhisong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 4.871,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cai Zhisong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Custom to Motherland No. 5 im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.580.000,00 (€ 151.152,90).
