Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Neptune by Bryan Hunt for USD 11,875.00 (€ 11,100.21). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw” at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Bryan Hunt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pangaea II in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 44,650.00 (€ 52,808.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
