Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Airship (Zethus) by Bryan Hunt for USD 15,120.00 (€ 13,359.25). This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Douglas S. Cramer at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bryan Hunt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pangaea II, which sold at auction in May 2001 for USD 44,650.00 (€ 52,808.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Airship (Zethus) von Bryan Hunt für USD 15.120,00 (€ 13.359,25) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Collection of Douglas S. Cramer bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bryan Hunt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pangaea II beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für USD 44.650,00 (€ 52.808,99) versteigert wurde.
