Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2021 Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work Untitled (New York) by Bob Thompson. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,362.88). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bob Thompson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meeting Man in May this year with an auction result of USD 327,600.00 (€ 307,490.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (New York) von Bob Thompson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.040,00 (€ 4.362,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bob Thompson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Meeting Man im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 307.490,14).
