The work Adam and Eve by Bob Thompson was worth USD 94,500.00 (€ 85,188.86) to a buyer in March last year. This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bob Thompson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Meeting Man, which sold at auction in May this year for USD 327,600.00 (€ 307,490.14).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Bob Thompson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Meeting Man beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für USD 327.600,00 (€ 307.490,14) versteigert wurde.
