Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Exit; and Isle le Block by Bill Jensen was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 600.00 – 900.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 540.00 (€ 408.16). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bill Jensen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Givers and Takers in July 2019 with an auction result of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,423.18).
