Sold at the upper estimate price
In October 2018 Phillips in New York held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Interim Portrait #388; and Interim Portrait #522 by Bill Jacobson. The auction ended at the price of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,647.37), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bill Jacobson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work #3543, which sold at auction in September 2021 for USD 6,300.00 (€ 5,441.82).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2018 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Interim Portrait #388; and Interim Portrait #522 von Bill Jacobson zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.647,37) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bill Jacobson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit #3543 beobachtet, die im September 2021 für USD 6.300,00 (€ 5.441,82) versteigert wurde.
