It achieved a price of USD 6,930.00 (€ 5,998.96), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Beatriz Milhazes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meu Limão in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 2,098,500.00 (€ 1,612,990.01).

Die Arbeit Flip Flop von Beatriz Milhazes wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.930,00 (€ 5.998,96) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Beatriz Milhazes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Meu Limão im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.098.500,00 (€ 1.612.990,01).
