Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boerenjongen, Paard Leidend (Farmboy Leading A Horse) by Bart van der Leck was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in March 2018. The price achieved of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 142,319.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bart van der Leck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Compositie No. 3, which sold at auction in February 2013 for GBP 313,250.00 (€ 363,857.63).

Die Arbeit Boerenjongen, Paard Leidend (Farmboy Leading A Horse) von Bart van der Leck wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 142.319,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Bart van der Leck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Compositie No. 3 beobachtet, die im Februar 2013 für GBP 313.250,00 (€ 363.857,63) versteigert wurde.
