Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Contemporary Art & Design, which included this untitled work by Barbro Bäckström. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of SEK 130,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of SEK 135,000.00 (€ 12,353.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Barbro Bäckström - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Badare" (Bathing), which sold at auction in May 2012 for SEK 400,000.00 (€ 42,251.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Contemporary Art & Design durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Barbro Bäckström zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 130.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von SEK 135.000,00 (€ 12.353,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Barbro Bäckström mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Badare" (Bathing) beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für SEK 400.000,00 (€ 42.251,70) versteigert wurde.
