Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Vågrörelser" by Barbro Bäckström was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in May 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 7,500.00 (€ 740.53). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barbro Bäckström achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Badare" (Bathing) in May 2012 with an auction result of SEK 400,000.00 (€ 42,251.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Vågrörelser" von Barbro Bäckström im Mai 2021 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 7.500,00 (€ 740,53) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Barbro Bäckström erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Badare" (Bathing) im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 400.000,00 (€ 42.251,70).
