A top price for Arthur Wesley Dow - as previously expected
In October 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Prints, which included the work The Moon Over The Hill by Arthur Wesley Dow. The price achieved of USD 23,750.00 (€ 18,954.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Moon Over The Hill is the most expensive artwork by Arthur Wesley Dow that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Oktober 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Moon Over The Hill von Arthur Wesley Dow zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 18.954,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Moon Over The Hill das teuerste Kunstwerk von Arthur Wesley Dow, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
