In October 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Study For 'A Field, Karlaouen' by Arthur Wesley Dow. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,056.33), 43% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Wesley Dow - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Moon Over The Hill, which sold at auction in October 2014 for USD 23,750.00 (€ 18,954.51).

Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study For 'A Field, Karlaouen' von Arthur Wesley Dow zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.056,33) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Wesley Dow mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Moon Over The Hill beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für USD 23.750,00 (€ 18.954,51) versteigert wurde.
