Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Komposition by Arthur Segal was worth GBP 212,500.00 (€ 246,287.98) to a buyer in February 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Arthur Segal; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot „Selbstporträt“. sold at auction in June 2021 with the realized price of EUR 375,000.00.

Die Arbeit Komposition von Arthur Segal war einem Käufer im Februar 2020 GBP 212.500,00 (€ 246.287,98) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Christies in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Arthur Segal; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit „Selbstporträt“. im Juni 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 375.000,00.
