Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Schlafende Frau by Arthur Segal was worth EUR 163,800.00 to a buyer in October last year. This price was achieved in the auction Art & Design : un certain regard sur le XXè siècle at Christies in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 50,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Segal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work „Selbstporträt“., which sold at auction in June 2021 for EUR 375,000.00.

Die Arbeit Schlafende Frau von Arthur Segal war einem Käufer im Oktober letzten Jahres EUR 163.800,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Art & Design : un certain regard sur le XXè siècle bei Christies in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 50.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Segal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit „Selbstporträt“. beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für EUR 375.000,00 versteigert wurde.
