Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Arthur Segal was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in March this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 30,480.00 (€ 34,676.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Segal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work „Selbstporträt“. in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 375,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Arthur Segal wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 30.480,00 (€ 34.676,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Segal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit „Selbstporträt“. im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 375.000,00.
