Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Girl in Shibuya by Antony Micallef was sold in the Under the Influence auction at Phillips in London in December 2013. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,773.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antony Micallef - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hobo Angel (Burger King), which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 26,900.00 (€ 36,552.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Girl in Shibuya von Antony Micallef wurde im Dezember 2013 in der Auktion Under the Influence bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.773,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Antony Micallef mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hobo Angel (Burger King) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für GBP 26.900,00 (€ 36.552,54) versteigert wurde.
